About

Writer and Founder of Day to Day Woman

Hi! My name is Carrie Dahle. Thank you for being part of my community!

This blog is for women like you. Women who enjoy family relationships, healthy living, fashion, home decor and so much more. Sometimes I will make you laugh. Some times I will make you cry. I may even make you mad from time to time. However, my goal is to entertain you daily with my blogs.

A few years ago I began pursuing my dream of becoming a writer. I always wanted to be a writer. In fact in my college days I would tell friends “One day I am going to write for that magazine.” I honestly thought that was what I was going to do. Then like many others, life got the best of me. Instead of going after my dream I began taking jobs that actually paid. In time, those jobs became my life and life led down a path I did not expect.

I got married (not to the man I should have), had two children and worked on my so-called career. Unhappy and living life in a way that was entirely opposite of who I am at my core, I began searching for something more. Basically, I began to search for the real me.

I got divorced, ventured out on my own and soon fell in love with the love of my life. He was no one new. Actually he was my first love. We had met just prior to me starting high school and dated all the way into college. He was perfect for me. He knew me better than anyone, and he knew how to love me the way I needed to be loved.

Now we are married and have a combined family of 6 (my two children and his two children, though they are ours as far as we are concerned). We are extremely happy. I have found the “real me,” and I could not be happier.

Along the way to finding myself, I rediscovered my joy for writing. Actually I rediscovered a lot of things, not only do I enjoy writing but I am quite the artist. With finding my passion for writing again, I started submitting articles and blogs to various publishers. I soon began getting responses as well as job offers. At this point, I have written hundreds of articles and blogs. I have been fortunate enough to have many of them published in my own name.

Now with the help of my fabulous husband, I have started Day to Day Woman. My hope is you will enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing.

  • Hi Carrie – your wonderful Momma Shirley just emailed me a link to your new website. Good for you! I can definitely understand why she is PROUD of you and the woman you have become. I applaude you for getting out of your first marriage where you weren’t being true to your heart and soul; and GOOD FOR YOU for listening to your ‘gut’ and appreciating yourself and natural-born talents and following them. It is a bit sad that it can take some women (like me? sounds like you too?) quite a few years (I was in my mid-30’s) before I was strong enough emotionally and mentally to truly get to LOVING MYSELF and not attempt to change myself to keep a relationship going or keep a ‘friend’.

Good luck to you in your new venture; I am sure you will make this a big success!

    Hugs and Blessings,
Carol from Oregon (who met Shirley and your great step-father, Carl, several years ago in Tai Chi classes in AZ.)

    • Thank you Carol, your words are very sweet and kind. My past has only made me stronger and given be children whom I love and adore. Life is an adventure with ups and downs.

      ~Carrie
