One of the best experiences you can have while visiting Ashmore between the months of June and October is to go whale watching. Humpback whales migrate to Australia during late spring and leave in early fall, but while they are there, they put on quite a show. Visitors watch them swim side by side and jump into the air. Take a tour on one of the local tour boats such as Sea World Whale Watch and spend a few hours taking in all the beauty there is to see.

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets

You have just spent the day at the beach, soaking up the sun and watching amazing surfers ride the waves at Surfers Paradise, but don’t be in a hurry to head back to the hotel. Instead, if it is a Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday night, stick around and take a stroll through the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets. There are more than 100 market stalls with jewelry, artwork, fashion wear, and so much more. So if you are looking for a great souvenir to remember your trip by, check out the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets; Plus the live entertainment is always treat.

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk

It’s not every vacation that you get to take a walk through the treetops of a rainforest, but when you visit Ashmore you can. The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is less than an hour away and treats guests to a 45-minute walk through the rainforest with detailed guide signs. Your walk includes a trek along the sky bridge that takes you up into the trees for a fantastic view. Children and adults of all ages enjoy the walk and boast this as one of the best things to do on the Gold Coast.

Dream World

Are you looking for a place where you can spend the day riding roller coasters, watching shows, and seeing beautiful wildlife that inhabit the area? If so, Dream World is the place for you. Dream World is the largest amusement park in Australia, and it features over 50 thrilling rides. There are nine big thrill rides, kids rides, and several family rides for you to enjoy. Additionally, Tiger Island features multiple shows per day while Shrek and Kung Fu Panda await you in the Dreamworks experience. No day in Ashmore is complete without a visit to Dream World.

As you can see, there is a variety of great things to do while you are visiting Ashmore. All you have to do is decide what interests you and head out for a day of great fun and adventure.
