Five Tips and Tricks For Making the Most out of Niagara Falls Attractions

Obviously the main reason travelers visit Niagara Falls is to see the falls. Sure, the falls are spectacular and worth your time to visit, but Niagara Falls has much more to offer. So how to do you know what you should see and do during your next stay at a Niagara Falls Hotel? The following is a list of five tips and tricks for making the most out of Niagara Falls attractions:

1. Boat Tour the Falls

There are many view points to see the falls from, but none like taking a boat out into the water. The Maid of Mist boat picks up on both the Canadian and United States side of the falls and travels up to the falls. Although the boat’s name implies that you will get misted by the falls, prepare to get wet, as the falls douse the boat. The Main of Mist is by far the best way to see the falls.

2. Hike the Nature Area

The river leading up to the falls is almost as spectacular as the falls themselves. There is a lovely hiking trail that runs along the river and surrounding areas called the Niagara Glen Nature Areas. After spending the night resting in one of Niagara Falls hotels, you can spend several hours hiking or just walk down to the water’s edge. The nature area is a hidden treasure that so many visitors miss because they aren’t aware it is there. Don’t miss the beauty; take the time to hike this trail.

3. Try IceWine

Ontario and the Niagara Falls area is known for its icewine. Although it may seem off for this part of the world to produce wine, when you realize that icewine is made out of grapes that were frozen on the vine, it makes more sense. This dessert wine is a specialty here and is found at several wineries around the area. Check out the Wine Country Ontario website on winery details.

4. Experience the Falls Via IMAX

Historically, Niagara Falls has been a place where daredevils flock. From tightrope walkers to people plunging over the falls, these risk takers have done it all. Guests visit the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater to experience the falls via the eyes of these daredevils and to explore their adventures. If you have ever wondered why someone would throw themselves over the falls, then the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater needs to be your next stop.

5. Fallsview Indoor Waterpark

Are you looking for something fun that the whole family will enjoy during your trip to Niagara Falls? The Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is a fantastic place for family fun. A short two-minute walk from the falls, families find almost 3 acres of fun including sixteen waterslides. Additionally there is a giant wave pool, sundeck, and hot springs for guests to enjoy. There is no better place for family fun in Niagara Falls than the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark.
